On 22nd June, 2021, the National Mountain Museum of Torino opens the exhibition “Walter Bonatti. Stati di grazia”, dedicated to the great mountaineer and explorer on the tenth anniversary of his death.
The exhibition, open to the public until 5th December, focuses on a new narrative thread which, starting with Bonatti’s stories and some considerations gathered directly from his words, investigates his relationship with the natural environment. He was attracted by adventure, but not only that: he immersed himself in the great wilderness to the point of merging with it and in some circumstances experienced what he called “states of grace”, exceptional moments capable of awakening unknown forces within him and pushing him beyond his limits.
