Museum
Opened by Alfred Nobel in 1872 with 80 employees, by 1917 it numbered 5300, while Avigliana had only 2800 inhabitants: it is therefore obvious what an enormous impact this venture had on the history of the town and of Val Susa.
The eco-museum has been fully set up inside the dynamite factory, with a route that catapults the visitor into the dangerous world of explosives: a journey to discover the numerous tunnels dug under the hill, the huts for processing, and the old tools of the trade with even a simulation of an explosion; a way to come into contact with the culture and lifestyle of over a hundred years ago and, in the bomb shelter, to watch a World War II air raid.
