NEBOJŠA DESPOTOVIC. THE GOLDEN HARP

Nebojša Despotovic’s works are inexorably detached from a recognizable context and, although they all appear extraneous to our lives, many of them depict experiences that we can recognize, with the result of their seeming to be reflected in a foggy but familiar mirror. The characters/actors that populate them play parts with which the artist himself empathisizes, to such an extent that he assigns names or nicknames to the figures while he is painting them.
